Re: PhotoVideoRenderingDemo

These are very nice renderings,Enko.

Unfortunately I'm not owner of the same skills as you.
As Enko clearly points out, the lighting is done by him ( her?).
I wonder what are Enko's tricks for getting the light so natural.
As I am presently working on constructing and presenting my new studio, I'm trying to learn all I can about lighting.

My experience is that Yafaray gives very noisy results on light surfaces in dark areas, and I can't find any noise in Enko's renderings, which show many light surfaces in dark areas, f.i. in the first image where there is a perfect gradient leading into the corner at the center of the picture. This is an example of where Yafaray normally will produce noise, while Sunflow tends to produce banding. I see neither.
I wonder if Enko's perfect results depend more on the lighting, the render engine or the combination.

I also wonder what makes it so easy to say which render engine has been used on the different pictures.
Are there any particular signs I should look for?

Re: PhotoVideoRenderingDemo

Enkos post starts with "YafaRay rendering". So the only skill you have to hav is the ability to read a text...

But my answer was a joke. With this wondeful pictures it is easy to overread the small text part.

Re: PhotoVideoRenderingDemo

Xiste, Pascal, thank you for your comments on the quality of the renderings!

Did you use Yafaray or Sunflow?
All the previous images were made with the YafaRay rendering engine.

I wonder what are Enko's tricks for getting the light so natural.

You can get a preview with the SH3D file available here. (saved rendering settings)
Each point of view has a different time.

For a light power > 0:
* light panel - daylight (variable light intensity depending on the time of day)
* unviewable or opaque light panel (fixed light intensity)
* light sphere - automatic (off during the day and on at night)
* unviewable or opaque light sphere (always on)

Yes, and it's very undeserving. I think we shall have to do something about that... very soon!

@Enko
Thanks for sharing the lighted demo. It's a great help!

@enkonyito
* light sphere - automatic (off during the day and on at night)

Is there any chance that this effect could be extended to the panel lights as well?
