Upgraded to Java V8 261

Hi,

I updated java to Verion 8 Update 261
Since then the saved projects (*.sh3d) won't open. When I click on one it asks if to keep using the current app, which is a long link pointing somewhere to Java Deployment / cache, or use another application. Clicking "OK" doesn't do anything.
The files only open when I use Open from the menu tab in Sweet Home 3D.
Is this normal now or should I clean some java cache or something? I restarted the PC since the upgrade and have tried all the standard things...
Previously clicking on any *.sh3d file would open the application and the project automatically.

Re: Upgraded to Java V8 261

Hi,
I guess you use Java Web Start version right?
Clearing the cache in Java configuration panel should help (run the command "javaws -viewer" to access to the panel).

Re: Upgraded to Java V8 261

Hi Puybaret,

It worked :-) I followed the instruction found on google:
1. Click Start > Control Panel.
2. Locate and double click the Java icon in the Control Panel.
3. Click Settings under Temporary Internet Files.
4. Click Delete Files.
5. Select ALL boxes and click OK on Delete Temporary Files window.
6. Click OK on Temporary Files Settings window.

In point 5. it is important to tick all the boxes.

It works now.

Thank you!

Regards,
Mark
