Web Start error message.
Ubuntu 9.04
When I go to the folder I have the sweethome application in and right click the SweetHome3D icon and choose to open with 'Sun Java 6 Web Start' I get a short Java 6 splash screen and then the message “Unable to launch application”.

Re: Web Start error message.
Did you figure out the solution to your problem? Did you download the application? If so, you don't need the Java Web Start and you don't need to right click. If you have Java installed correctly on your system, the app should launch when you click on the executable file named, "SweetHome3D" (without quote marks. In the "File Type" section of your file viewer, it should say that it is a "Shell Script")

I have found that file but when I run the application and try to print or do anything in the file menu I get a fatal error in the rendering system message saying it needs to shut down.

In case you didn't notice, this is a very old thread. I would suggest to try SweetHome3D or SweetHome3D-Java3D-1_5_2 scripts in Sweet Home 3D installer.
