confused Stone features on historic buildings

Good day.
How can I achieve these stones on wall edges as per e.g. this image https://ourworldforyou.com/wp-content/uploads...se-Kolmanskop-Namibia.jpg (the right side).

Assemble small boxes at each corner and change their color or texture.
