Feature idea (if it doesn't already exist)

Hey all,

As I've been getting to know SH3D I've wondered if there was a way to take a model that I've imported and adjusted the texture on, and "import" it as a brand new model.

For example if I load a model and spend the time adding a texture and adjusting the positioning and sizing of it, it would be nice to simply say "Add to new library file" or something like that and have all those changes I've made become the default for a new model file that I can later add to the workspace.

Does something like this exist, and if not would it be a useful addition?

Thanks for the info!

Yes, select the object, then go to 3D view > Export to OBJ format, save it somewhere and then import it.

To expand on the answer from Daniels118:

After export you can import the model but you can also create your own custom furniture library using the Furniture Library Editor.
(Download here)

With this editor you can collect all your customized furniture into a library like the ones that come with Sweethome3D and gives you the option to add property values not available to a single furniture object (although this still requires some manual editing of the library properties file).
