More Custom Default settings and less "Gavage" settings.

I'm looking for a way to set my personal preferences.
How can I do that?

Examples:
A)Poly-lines start out with a thickness of 1.
I don't need that.
I need to start out with a thin "thickness" i.e. 0.125 (1/8")

B)Opening a new file there is always the compass.
I don't need that.
If I need it I want to be able to select it and not always have to
unselect it.

C)Creating new "rooms" there is always the square footage displayed.
I don't need that.

There is more.

What I need is that I can set the defaults to my needed choices and preferences and not always have to "have stuffed down my throat Foie Gras "gavage" feeding style" of assumed and presumed "default" settings!

In other words;
Let the user adjust default settings specific to his needs.
Poly-lines start with a thickness of choice, i.e. 0.125.
Opening a new file there is no compass and select one if I need it. Creating a new "room" no square footage /m2 is displayed unless I need it.

That shouldn't be too difficult to implement and in consideration of client relations (CRM) certainly a serious consideration and implementation.
