Is there a way to color 2D view

when I make walls it is easy to color the sides and top as they present in the 3D model. But I would like to color walls in the 2D rendering to make it easier to code walls that are going to be added or removed and to have that notice quickly vs. the patterns which, depending on scale, are pretty similar and the differences don't jump out at you very well.

thanks,

brian

You can change the color of furniture, rooms, texts, dimensions and polylines, but not the color of walls.

Re: Is there a way to color 2D view

@puybaret

so i tried rooms and making polygones out of polylines for just those reasons.

I succeeded in making a rectangular polygon the same 2D size as a wall and coloring it, however the address to the Z dimension is clumsy and it only shows up in the bottom of doorways. I tried making the polygon taller than the wall but that didn't help. I tried moving it to a higher layer and making all layers visible but the layer with the polygon only shows the polygon even though all layers are "viewable" and other layers that seem to show other layers do not display the polygon (or they display it in a way that it is covered by the walls even though I set the layer elevation higher.

sleepless in seattle, well in smithfield. couldn't log in for a while to respond. turns out i had to clear my cookies.

who knew.
