Bottom view: 3D view

I can rotate the virtual view, but how do I scroll it side to side and up and down.

it is always dead centre from the size of your layout.

thanks all

Re: Bottom view: 3D view

Please read Sweet Home 3D user's guide or the integrated help to discover what kind of moves you can do in the 3D view.
Note that I added in version 2.3 a new indicator in the back of the virtual visitor shown in plan to let users easily change the elevation of his view point

Re: Bottom view: 3D view

Emmanuel:

I think the problem is that the 3D view always rotates around the center of the 3D image. Recently someone else also asked if it possible to change the center of rotation, so that you can zoom in on a part of the 3D view that lies at the edge of the model. Currently this isn't possible in SH3D.

Re: Bottom view: 3D view

The new indicator lets you easily change easily the elevation of the point of view.

So I don't think I'll program in a close future the move of the center of rotation in Aerial view mode, because I want to keep this mode simple to be sure nobody looses himself in this mode and furthermore because there's nothing in the plan that indicates what you're seeing in the 3D view.

Re: Bottom view: 3D view

the answer is easy.
if you select ´virtual visit´ in the menu ´3D view´,
you will see a little icon appear in your plan.
when you drag the mouse over this icon, you´ll see you can
rotate the angle left to right, or up and down.
when you double click on this icon, you can adjust the visitiors
height.

Re: Bottom view: 3D view

Nope not what I was looking for. See when building the home I like the 3D view to help place walls specially the round one's. But since you cannot move the location of where the 3D view is from top down.

Then i cannot see clearly where I cam placing walls and objects that are not in the center of the building.

Re: Bottom view: 3D view

it does not matter how tall the visitors icon is set too. i want a top down view of the walls for making the walls.

seeing them from a front view walking does not help

i need to see the whole layout and zoom in closer to put walls so they join up nicely.

Try placing curves walls yourself and see the hassle it is and how easier it is when looking at them from a top down view.
