Cables?

Hi,

I don't know if this is possible in Sweet Home:
Can I document/plan for a room where are all the cables are in the walls and where the power-outlets are etc.?
If yes: How can I do this?

If not, do you know a software which I could use for that?

Thanks.

Re: Cables?

Take a look at the Wirings Plugin and see if that fits your needs.
I advise to install the Plugin Manager first, which makes it much easier to install the required Pan3Dview and the Wirings plugin.

Re: Cables?

Sure thing! Yes, in Sweet Home 3D, you can totally plan out your room's cables and power outlets. Just customize your walls, add outlets where you need them, and draw cables along the walls. It's pretty straightforward. But if you want something more specialized, you might check out software like SketchUp or AutoCAD for more advanced electrical planning features.

Re: Cables?

Hi all,

I have a question concerning wirings plugin, didn't want to create a brand new thread for this.

I see the length of the cables while drawing it but thereafter it's just gone and the cables don't seems to appear in the library, how can I read the length of the cables after drawn them? Is there someway to export it or something?

Thx

Re: Cables?

Hi,

My apologies, I found the answer in the Wirings plugin SourceForce plugin page: https://sourceforge.net/p/sweethome3d/plug-ins/41/

In SH3D, Tools > Wirings toolbox

Thx
