New domain names

Hi,

In the hope Sweet Home 3D could be more easily found in the US and UK where it reaches a low rank in searches, I've acquired the following two new domain names and made them point to this server:
- drawfloorplan.com
- designhouseplan.com

So now, beside the historical http://sweethome3d.sf.net server managed by SourceForge.net, five domain names point to this server:
- sweethome3d.eu
- sweethome3d.com
- sweethome2d.com
- drawfloorplan.com
- designhouseplan.com

If you have any other idea to help Sweet Home 3D be more popular, feel free to post comments. smile

Re: New domain names

Emmanuel,
i suggest everybody creating pictures with SH3D, and plans to release them in public, should take the time of a few seconds to add the obvious TAGS, e.g. in ImageShack or Flicker or else, to those pix and also make sure they are PUBLIC, so the Google-Robots can find them.

Re: New domain names

"reaches a low rank in searches"

Emmanuel, you are not the only one affected (not that this is any consolation)
May I suggest to read some of the posts on Webmasterworld, a no-nonsense forum of mainly professional webmasters, where I have been a member for 10 years and followed the rise and decline of several search engines.
Today Google is on the decline and Bing (despite its illustrious brand name, Microsoft) has a very poor performing indexing robot.

Best to start at the current posts : http://www.webmasterworld.com/active.htm
and more if you feel inclined.

Re: New domain names

For your information, I didn't renew drawfloorplan.com and designhouseplan.com domains. It didn't bring any additional traffic (or so little).
