Re: Incorrect import 3DS model

It seems to be the same issue as the one mentioned in the FAQ The 3D view of Sweet Home 3D is always black or shows twice the same image. What can I do?
Could you try if the proposed solution works for you?

Re: Incorrect import 3DS model

The model imports more or less correctly on my computer.
Problems:
- no textures;
- windows aren't transparent;
- imported model looks different from pictured model.

This is a known problem with models from this website.

Re: Incorrect import 3DS model

In my case, only this model shows twince. Other models (also from this site) shows normally. And 3D view of sweethome is normal. I use sweethome in Linux.
Who can convert this model to another format fo me?

Re: Incorrect import 3DS model

I also use Linux (Ubuntu 12.04), so it's not a Linux problem, but a problem of your computer.

Re: Incorrect import 3DS model

No, I can't.

As I wrote, there are several problems with the model, most importantly that the glass isn't transparent. So, what use would windows be, if you can't see through them??

Re: Incorrect import 3DS model

Americans call this a Dutch door when you can open top and bottom half separately.
Or else search for a door with glass pane.

A bit of fantasy goes a long way...
