Cant start sh3d after plugin install (linux)
Linux OS: Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: sh3d_plugin/AdvancedSettings_PhotoRendering : Unsupported major.minor version 52.0
I've tried re-exploding the sh3d.tar but I still get that error.
Where do plugins get installed so I can remove the offending one?

Re: Cant start sh3d after plugin install (linux)
I too am having trouble opening my house after installing the update. I keep getting the following (this is just a small part of the error message I'm getting):
If this is something that's needed to know, I've also updated my Java after I first realized I was having trouble opening my file.

Somuchfun, the error you report is about an incompatibility of the plugin with the Java version you use. To remove the plug-in, please read the end of the user's guide.
AeowynFraser, I don't think your problem is bound to plug-ins. Could you check if the problem happens with the previous version too?

Re: Cant start sh3d after plugin install (linux)
thanks! That did it...i was searching for the wrong file.
Did you find the solution? I have the same problem after installing some rendering plugins on Yosemite, I'm getting this message
I reinstalled sh3d 5.2, updated java to v.8 update 91 I even installed the older version of sh3d 5.1 as Puybaret advised, nothing seems to work for me.

Re: Cant start sh3d after plugin install (linux)
I guess you use an old version of this plug-in with the free Mac OS X installer version which uses Java 6 whatever more recent Java version you installed. Remove the plug-in you installed (choose Go > Go to folder in the Finder and copy paste the folder name ~/Library/Application Support/eTeks/Sweet Home 3D/plugins) then try the latest version of that plug-in.

Re: Cant start sh3d after plugin install (linux)
There is no eTeks folder in application support. it seems that I uninstalled that plug-in already, but sh3d still doesn't work. when I try to install latest version which you provided, again same massage appears. I downgraded to java 6 but doesn't matter. I think some file stuck somewhere which prevents sh3d from running,
