confused Ceiling Problem

Have 8' ceilings selected through Sweet Home floor option which seems to work well. Now have an adjacent covered porch with 88" walls and a separate floor and selected the 'show ceiling' option, but the ceiling is too high, i.e. it appears to be at 96". Have tried tweaking the wall locations, etc, but the ceiling is still displayed too high. When I do 3D renderings there are gaps showing above the perimeter walls.

Re: Ceiling Problem

Maybe I do not understand, but it sounds as if the problem could be the height of the level (which will define the height of the ceiling). Did you check Modify level > Height (double click the level tab)? ok

Re: Ceiling Problem

Yes, perhaps I didn't explain well. I had one room where I wanted a lower ceiling, and when I selected the floor and requested "add ceiling" the ceiling was too high, despite all the surrounding walls being set to the lower height. Since you mentioned floors, I noted that I had inadvertently added an extra floor. When I removed that extra level, my lowered ceiling in the one area appears to be working. Not sure why those two things are related, but seems OK now. Thanks for the tip.
