confused Issue with the home 3D view

Hello,

I was working on a design and, when I tried to turn a piece of furniture with the mouse, all of a sudden the 3D view pane changed its color to gray and even its navigation controls disappeared.

Since I had saved the file only a couple of minutes earlier, I just closed the file without saving it and then reopened it. The file opened without any issues, and the home plan pane displayed the layout of every different level just fine, but the 3D view pane was still not showing anything at all.

I opened a previous version of the same home design and the 3D view pane was working fine (and it works fine with all the other files I checked). The issue only happens with this file. I selected and copied every layout in every level (including furniture) to a new file and the 3D view pane works without a hitch.

Has someone experienced this issue? Any hint on how to fix it? Anyone knows if there is a SH3D file-checking/fixing utility available for downloading? (I looked everywhere but didn't find it).

Thank you!

Re: Issue with the home 3D view

That could be due to a bug or a 3D model you imported. Try to make some objects invisible in the furniture list to see how it works.
Please send me your file so I can check on my side what's going on.

Thank you so much! Over just sent you an email with the file and some details on what I've already tried to fix the file.

Thank you for your post. I don't think it's an issue with the file size. The file I'm having issues with is barely over 2 mb, and I'm not having any issues with larger file sizes (up to 50mb).

OH, I'm glad someone else has the same problem. The full plan is visible, but the 3D pane went blank when I rotated a piece of furniture. Now I can't get the 3D pane to work at all. It only affects this single file.

@stedwey,

The problem with my file has been kindly fixed by Puybaret. The problem in my case was an incorrect location of the camera.
