RE: Ubuntu Software Centre Packages Need Updating

Hi guys,

I was running 16.04 Ubuntu when Sweet Home 3D stopped working correctly. It would crash upon opening. I found some threads that recommended updating to 16.10. So I did. I uninstalled, then re-installed the software the correct way (from the software centre). This time it would open and I could start working in the 2D floor plan plane.

After a few minutes I noticed that the bottom 3D plane wasn't working. I uninstalled, re-installed a few times, no go.

Then I decided to download most recent version from your website and noticed that the version number was different from the one on my computer. The one from software centre was 4.5 or something much lower.

When I downloaded the software from your website (version 5.3) and ran it from the command line on the same computer it worked *perfectly*.

So, all you need to do, I think, is update the version that is in the ubuntu software centre packages.

I hope this helps you and anyone reading.

Thank you so much for a wonderful and awesome piece of software, by the way!

Re: RE: Ubuntu Software Centre Packages Need Updating

Do you know how to contact Ubuntu Software Centre Packages maintainers to tell them to update Sweet Home 3D?
