Building Our First Home

Our Home

First time using this. Wanted to create a 3d model of the house we are building to get an idea of how everything will look

Re: Building Our First Home

Strange... it worked for me. As it's a .sh3d file, maybe you should try to save link in a file.

Tim86, nice house, plenty of space! smile
I hope you and your family can better dream of your future house...

By the way, would you have an idea of how long it took you to design it? It could be interesting for other users who want to achieve a similar plan.

Re: Building Our First Home

Thanks, I used the architects plans as the background and just built the walls up from there. Took me a few hours but its pretty much to scale.

I posted it up here to try and be able to access from iPad so I could show others but this doesn't seem to work. confused

Re: Building Our First Home

Hi Tim
I had the same as hans, ok with chrome, gobbledygook with firefox.
Couple of things i will mention though which i hope you wont take harshly
1/ it seemed strange to me that interior and exterior walls are all the same thickness
2/ you might find it easier to let the programme crate your rooms automatically, once your walls and doors are in position select the "create room" icon then double click inside your walls
3/ with regard to the walls, if you select a wall then click near the end of it, it will straighten itself
Having done so much good work recreating your home, seems a shame to let these simple actions detract from what you have achieved.
Nice one smile

Re: Building Our First Home

Thanks. Yeh I was pretty sure I was doing things the hard/long way. I'm still working away at it here and there adding lights and such so will go back and have a look at the walls too.

You should have seen mine when i first started wink.
If you share images of the rooms in here then your friends/colleagues will be able to view them from any browser.
Good luck

Re: Building Our First Home

If you wish to show them the house plan through a browser you can share your sh3d file HERE, but there is a limit on the file size so you may have to share a copy without the furniture.
