Edge of wall-end different than 90 degree ?

Hello,

I've just started to work with Sweet Home 3D and have a first question :

I have a thick wall that is attached to a stairway. The stairway is at an angle of approx 35 degrees to that wall. How can I create the wall so it completely touches the stairway and does not leave a triangled gap ? The ending of the wall is per default 90 degrees, but in my case it must be skewed to 35 degrees.

I hope I explained this understandable ? If not... see picture at : https://www.mediafire.com/?2t9bh9a8759p6qu[/img]

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Hi,

If I understood well, you must add a new wall to complete the hole.

See below :

Is it OK ?

Re: Edge of wall-end different than 90 degree ?

Thanks bdfd, but I can't construct a wall at the side of the stairs, just to close the gap.

I'm just looking for a possibility to design a wall with an skewed end of approx 35 degrees (not 90 degrees as the default wall-ends). Or if you want, a wall with the inside longer than the outside.

Pls have a look at the picture to see my case :

Is this not possible ?

Thank you very much for your input.

This is how I would solve this

Make a slanted edge with two very thin walls.

Hi,

You can use two boxes (with good dimensions) to full the hole,
or
an inclinated triangle.

Re: Edge of wall-end different than 90 degree ?

Thanks Hans and bdfd for your proposals.
It seems it is not possible to simply taper a wall so its rear spot as well as its front spot touches the stairways.

Simply drawing a line from the end of the lower wall-line would "extend" the wall to the stairways. Also"covering" the gap with a room would extend the lower line. But in both cases the "triangeled" part of the wall is not hatched as is the rest of the entire wall. Also the vertical edge-line of the wall remains visible.

It looks strange for me.

Maybe there is a possibility to hatch a room-portion so at least it looks like a wall ?

Again, thank you very much for your continued help and your proposals.

Re: Edge of wall-end different than 90 degree ?

Maybe this is what You want.

I build like this

I start whit 2 walls at 6 cm thickness, move in the position and then I modify the thickness and position until fit.
