confused Define your "land" size, which you want to build on

Hey all,
i want to define a space which is around 5000m2 (5hectars) of land.
one this land i then want to arrange 5-10 different houses.

how can i define this "land" area?

ive tried to create a large "room" and made that "grass" texture, but then when i put my houses onto the land, its hard to move, as i cant select the house, without moving the "land" object.

sorry if this doesnt make sense, can add more detail (im new to all this as of today!)

Re: Define your "land" size, which you want to build on

Make a layer on which you create your terrain.
Then create a second layer with the same elevation to put your houses on.
