Sweet Home 3D gained more and more success in 2010, with almost twice more downloads and page views compared to 2009.

Downloads in December 2010
Sweet Home 3D may be downloaded from various sources and installed with Java Web Start, its installer or from its Online version.
The following numbers come from SourceForge.net where official installers can be downloaded, and from Sweet Home 3D web server where Java Web Start and Online versions are available.

For some reason this software seems like such a natural fit to Ubuntu. I really hope somebody picks up the challange and creates a .deb for it.
