Real time sun shadows
YafaRay works pretty fast now, and that's great. But still i'm curious if it's possible to have very rudimentary shadows (something like in SketchUp?) -just simple geometrical shapes, visible in real time in the 3Dview window. With a slide for date/time to discover how shadows interact with the space during the day. Ignoring all the artificial light sources, since that only adds in complexity serving not much practical purpose.

It should be possible using shadow mapping but I never tried programming such a shader and don't know if it's so easy from Java 3D.
