Ceiling Height
I have a design for the front entryway of an office I'm working on, about 15' from the front door the ceiling drops down from 10' to 8', how do I get this to render correctly in a 3d view? I've tried adding a wall and then wanting to chance it's "elevation" to up at 8' and just box off that area but there is no option for that in walls.

Re: Ceiling Height
You can create sloping walls. First draw the walls all 10'. Double click the left wall and change the height of the start/end point to 8'. Do the same for the right wall. For one that is the start point and for the other the end point, you can see which end of the wall is the start and end point by the arrows drawn in the wall. Then change the height of the front wall to 8' so it matches the low end of the side walls.

Re: Ceiling Height
I think that makes sense to me. I made two sets of walls one 10' the other 8' and set them by eachother so it looks like they match up. How would I get the ceiling down to that height? Also, how would I show that beam that goes across where the ceiling drops from 10 to 8'?

Re: Ceiling Height
The ceiling is part of the room, not the walls. With the sloping walls you have the surrounding for the room. Add a room by double clicking the space inside the walls (must be an enclosed space). With a sloping wall you will probable select to display no ceiling but (room property) but choose to show the underside of the roof you add. The ceiling of a room is usually when you have a floor above.
How you create a roof depends on what you need. You can use the Roof Generator (excellent plugin!) or simply use a box that you resize to fit and tilt in position. You can create a beam with a box by resizing and elevating it. You can even tily/rotate the beam if necessary.
Always look at 'Modify ...' in the context menu (right click) for any object you want to manipulate, be it walls, rooms, or furniture. There you can see what you can change for that specific object.
You should really read through the User's Guide and FAQ to understand the basics. It will make it much easier and enjoyable!
