SH3D totally reset
Hello,
I use SH3D from many many years and for the second time in my life (the first ten years ago) I open the program and all the textures and files 3d are gone... the software appears as if it had just been installed.. I use windows 10pro. Has anyone had the same problem as me?...and above all you managed to restore? thanks

Could you check the content of the folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\eTeks\Sweet Home 3D (where user is you login)? It should contain a file named preferences.xml and many files with a .pref extension.

thank you very much for the quick reply, inside the roaming folder I don't have a subfolder for sweethome... the preferences.xml file is contained in the users/myname/eteks/sweethome3d folder

it's embarrassing to say the least... basically it's as initialized, it also offers me suggestions when I click on a new button... how can I go back to the old SH3D?

If that folder is empty, I fear that all the imported stuff is lost, but don’t worry for your existing plans, they’ll still work because they contain all the data they need, imported or not.

Re: SH3D totally reset
yes, the projects already made are always visible, but I had hundreds of textures and 3D files that I used for work and now I will have to import them again. I ask for one last piece of advice, is there a way to export a 3D file or a texture from a room already made?

No, there’s no such tool. Sorry. In the future, I would recommend to use the the plug-insExportToSH3F and ExportToSH3T to back up your imported models and textures, even if the bug you reported is really rare. Would you remember anything special that could have happened around the moment of this bug?
