Furniture Library Editor crashing on Modify Furniture dialog

I installed the FLE for the first time. It opens properly and lets me load a library. But as soon as I open the Modify Furniture dialog, the dialog shows up for a second, and then java crashes.

I tried
- FLE versions: 2.2, 2.1, 2.0
Java:
- Java HotSpot build 25.202-b08 (as comes with SH3D), version "1.8.0_202"
- OpenJDK Runtime Environment, version "1.8.0_202"

All to the same result. FLE v.1.28 does not expose this.

I assume I'm having trouble with some display output routine. But I understand to little for tracking it down, leave alone fixing it. Below is thecomplete crash output of the OpenJDK.

Platform:

Can anybody help me narrowing it down? May I have missed something when installing the FLE or does my system need sum adjustment?

I reported the same error in this thread.

In a virtual machine with java version 11.0.22 it works.
And in another virtual machine with an old java version 1.7.0_162 it also works.
I got the error using the java version supplied with Sweet Home 3D.

Try to run the Furniture Library Editor with the additional option
-Dcom.eteks.sweethome3d.j3d.version=1.5.2
