Re: Saving Sweet Home 3D files as DWG files

Thank you for your response Puybaret. Based on the various responses I have received to my origianl question, do you think I will achieve my goal if I do the following?
1. Convert my .sh3d file to a .SVG file using the converter built into Sweet Home 3D.
2. Convert the .SVG file to a .PDF file using PDF Creator.
3. Then convert the .PDF file to a .DWG file using the tool http://www.convertpdftoautocad.com/ as suggested by nicksoper on 14 August.

Re: Saving Sweet Home 3D files as DWG files

Maybe it would be a good idea to think about the whole process? Are you sure you need DWG files? If yes, what for? Do you need the 3D or not in that DWG file? Because there's no 3D information in a SVG file (only the 2D plan).

Re: Saving Sweet Home 3D files as DWG files

I will need to speak to the acquaintence I referred to in my first post. He is now a qualified architect. He originally told me he would need me to be able to convert my house plans to .DWG files for him to be able to use them. I am assuming this is still the case. My idea was to provide him with a very accurate plan of my house. It may not be important for him to see the 3D version as I guess he will be able to see that in his own CAD program. By providing him with the detailed plan it would save him having to take all the measurements of my existing home layout. I hope this is clear Puybaret.
