Re: Looking for construction libraries and symbols
Didn't you find what you're looking for among all the models and link in the 3D models import page?

No. What's really needed is a variety of simple staircase configurations, that will show detail in 2D, and hopefully work in 3D as well. A lot of the staircases available on the 3D model page, do not show any detail in 2D, they just look like rectangles boxes, plus there are not enough configurations.

Check the Google Sketchup Warehouse for all your needs... If necessary install Sketchup to convert models from SKP to DAE format.

Thanks, I was able to figure out how to convert SKP to DAE, using Google Sketchup. Question though, I don't see much use in a whole page of electrical symbols. There's no way to separate any one symbol, for use in floor plans. I'm I missing something here?

Re: Looking for construction libraries and symbols
In Sketchup you can easily use Edit -> Group -> Explode to ungroup the symbols, then delete all but one, and export it as DAE. Then Undo the deletion and save another symbol you need.

Thanks, I was able to separate symbols, but the quality was such, that they will not work for blueprints. Not sure if there is anything that can be done about that.
