Hello,

i create a wall and i finished the wall at a point.
if i want to create a new wall, which starts at this edge / point, i will not be able to connect both wall in this way, that i seems like ONE wall.

there is always a shift, if i see the wall on 2d paper print.

maybe i'm to studid, to see some connection-point, but is it able to connect two walls, if i have to create a wall later?

Thank you for helping

Re: wall edge

Walter,

If you install the AdvancedEdit plug-in, you will find there is a function called Connect Walls.
Please, read the tutorial on plug-ins (PDF) to learn how to install the plug-in and how to use it.

Re: wall edge

You could try also the version 3.4 beta where magnetism during wall drawing was improved. If you click on the end point of a previously created wall, the start point of the new wall will be exactly at that point whatever the scale factor you used in the plan.

Re: wall edge

Hans,

after installing the "AdvancedEdit" plug-in I'm not able to find "Connect Walls" under "Plan".

Re: wall edge

Christian,

If you have installed the plug-in correctly, the plug-in most definitely should be there.
If you have downloaded the plug-in tutorial (PDF), check that the plug-in is copied into the correct directory for your operating system. Then re-start SH3D to activate the plug-in.

Re: wall edge

Well, I also have trouble with some plugins ( http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/forum/viewthread_thread,2877 ). They just won't show up in SH3D (in 2 laptops, one with Win7 and the other with XP), even if they are, supposedly, installed "correctly". Still think it's a bug...

Normally drop-down menu Plan, at the bottom. Remember to set the walls in the 'same' direction (use Reverse walls direction if the walls run in 'opposite' directions) and select the two walls to be connected in correct sequence first. ok

Re: wall edge

Hiya
You may like to try viewing a video on you tube demonstrating the connection of walls, hopefully it will help.
