flickering textures on self-created models
i do not know if this is a graphic card problem but maybe someone already have seen that. if i move around the room some textures that are being used on models created in sketchup 3d start flickering. compare the same room at http://imgur.com/a/JAXoU

Re: flickering textures on self-created models
José,
In the upper image, I can see a triangle that probably shouldn't be there. Most probably, it's a part of the ceiling of the room. It's there because you (most probably) created a room in a space where not all walls have the same height.
Because ceilings only have one face, they are invisible (transparent) from one side, visible (opaque) from the other side. When you rotate the 3D preview, this may look like a flickering texture. To see this one-sided-ness, look at a ceiling with the virtual visitor: when looking at the ceiling from below, it's opaque, when you elevate your point of view, the ceiling seen from above becomes invisible.
If this doesn't solve the problem, you may share your design, and I'll have a look at it.

Re: flickering textures on self-created models
José,
The culprits are two DAE models whose faces aren't oriented properly names begin with "linka"). This should be solved within Sketchup.
I'll try to explain how to do this: - select your model - right-click and select Explode - if necessary, repeat several times until the object is "deconstructed" into its smallest elements - now select one or more visible parts of the model; the selected face is now dotted blue - while selected, right-click and select Reverse Faces
Within Sketchup you most probably won't see any difference. Now export your model again, and import it in SH3D. If all went well, SH3D now interprets the orientation of the faces in the correct manner, and you won't see the flickering.

José,
What I most often do, is copy the texture of one side, and apply it to the other side as well. That way there's always a correct texture, although the file size of the object increases a bit.

so finally it was pretty easy to find the offending face. it was exactly the one with that flickering triangle on it. thank you, problem is now gone. jose
