confused How can I create grass path outside my house?

Hi,
I am a pretty new user on Sweet Home 3d. And so far I have created a beautiful house, but don't know how to make grass path outside my house. I have the grass texture, but don't know how to use it, please help me as soon as possible. Thank you.

Activate the room creation tool, and draw a polygon with many points that will match your grass path. Once done, modify the floor texture of that fake room, importing your texture image in the texture modification dialog box if needed.

Re: How can I create grass path outside my house?

May be obvious to others but with v6.5.2 I used the above and it was easy.

Create a room with 4 walls.
Set the wall height to 2 or 3 inches.
Change the test of the wall both sides to bricks. (may not look perfect but helps.)
Add a room by selecting the room tool and double clicking inside the walls you just created.
Right mouse click the room and choose Modify room.
Then change the floor texture to grass, or rock, or brick, or ...

but there's more. Before doing the room add above, make complex shaped walls with the below.

Another thing you can do is click on a wall, move the cursor to the center of the wall and the cursor should change. Click and drag and you will bend the wall. Do that for both sides of room/path. You can make a nice curving path this way.

Curve one way but want to curve a different way? To maintain symetry, copy all 4 walls, paste, while selected right mouse click and flip horizontally. Now join the 2 sets of walls together at the narrow end. To do this, delete the 2 short walls the bottom from the 1st wall/room, the top from the bottom 2nd wall/room. Now grab the bottom room 3 walls and drag so they are touching the top 3 walls.

viola, a curving path that is symetrical.

Just select the room tool, double click in the path, select a texture and it's a perfect path.

(asymetrical can also be done this way, just modify the second "room" before joining it to the 1st room.)
