How to export from SweetHome3D to Sketchup for producing a cross section view
Hello,
I need to produce a cross section view of house that I have designed with SweetHome3D and I have noted that there is no such a feature as of yet. Apparently Sketchup has such a feature. I have not ever used Sketchup but before doing so I would like to know if it is possible to export my design from SweetHome3D to Sketchup and if so how. Any other remedy would also be appreciated
Background info: I have been using SweetHome3D for a preliminary design of my home and I must say that I am very impressed with this particular software and it has performed well beyond my wildest expectations.
The city that I reside in has an extensive preliminary review process which requires the elevation and cross section views. The lot that I would be building on is not level and I am planning to add a multi story addition to an existing house. My objective is to do the preliminary design process myself to get preliminary approvals.
I have noted as to how to add the elevations by reviewing discussions but I have not done so yet as I need to figure how to measure the elevations first and I am in midst of doing so.

I did a bit of research (and some heavy thinking). My guess is that OBJ to SKP is impossible. OBJ describes the whole scene and has insufficient information on the parts. However, there is an OBJ to DAE converter here.
My guess is that you can import DAE into Sketchup. Even though you can't manipulate everything, maybe it suits your needs.
