Dimensions and walls layer
It would be useful to have a special level/layer for dimensions and texts It could be a special level on 2D with no elevation and no thickness but always visible on top of the drawings
On the same way different level for walls vs furnitures could help as well

Re: Dimensions and walls layer
I would like to add 2 ideas to this
1) ability to change color of the dimensions. I would prefer a global setting so I don't have to find, click, and change each dimension individually.
2) a dimensions layer that can be turned on/off globally. I like using dimension to help design layout but they become a lot of clutter when I'm working on decorations and other details.

It's already possible to add dimensions and texts in a separate level at the same elevation as the one(s) where there are walls, rooms, objects... you want to document. You may also make it viewable or not.

Re: Dimensions and walls layer
yes, since making my last post, I have learned how to utilize overlapping levels as layers. I find that helpful for furniture and even for remodeling plans to move walls. However, I would still prefer a global setting for dimensions to turn them ALL on/off at the same time. 1 click to show/hide every dimension on every visible layer. That way I have less clutter in the level's list, and I don't have to worry about remembering to put the dimension on the dimension level. It would also be nice to change color of dimensions.
I've also found a good trick to quickly measure and position a wall that I would like to share. When I hover the dimension tool over a wall between 2 other walls, it will show the dimension without even having to click. Using this, I have another trick. I can first select a wall, and then the dimension tool, hover over the gap I'm concerned about, and then use the arrow keys on keyboard to move that wall while monitoring it's gap distance from the other wall with the dimension tool. very nice.
