modifying a wall

Hi. I'm a new user with a very basic question. I'm trying to modify a wall for a dead-end room at the end of a hallway -- no door or doorway. Each time I try to shorten, ie, elminate a section of, the affected wall, SH3D brings the corner of the room and the adjoining wall with it. I'm sure the answer is simple, but it's got me stumped.

I built my house floorplan by first using "create rooms," then selecting "create walls" and double clicking. Erlier, I sucessfully removed some other wall sections in the plan, but can't recall what, if anything, I did differently. Thanks.

Re: modifying a wall

If you use "create walls" then all walls are connected to each other. If you move a wall or a corner, the connected wall(s) move also.
Use "split wall", then delete one half, and resize the other half.
